Your first visit is designed to give you a complete picture of your oral health in a comfortable, no-pressure setting. We’ll start with a quick check-in, review your medical and dental history, and discuss any concerns you may have.
From there, your visit typically includes digital X-rays, a comprehensive exam, and a conversation with your dentist about your goals and any recommended treatment. Whenever possible, we’ll also complete your cleaning during this same appointment.
Most first visits take about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your needs. If you haven’t been to the dentist in a while or require a more detailed evaluation, your visit may take a little longer.
In many cases, yes. If your oral health allows, we’ll complete your cleaning during your first appointment. If a deeper cleaning or additional care is needed, we’ll explain everything clearly and schedule the appropriate next step.
