Dr. Allison Workman joined the Wood Creek Dental team in 2005. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in May of 2002 and went on to study and serve in the United States Air Force Dental Corps. Dr. Workman developed a variety of skills and experience in dentistry through her education and service in the military. Her knowledge and expertise in areas such as sedation dentistry make her an invaluable asset at our Greenville office.

Education & Training
Dr. Workman earned her undergraduate degree at the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and her education continued beyond getting her doctorate at the Medical University of Carolina College of Dental Medicine. She completed a one-year advanced education residency in the field of General Dentistry with the United States Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, which led her to join the Air Force and serve two years at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina.
She’s earned certifications and undergone additional training in these areas of dentistry:
- Dental Implant Training: Dental XP Extraction, Bone Grafting, Blue Sky Bio-Guided Implants
- Sedation Dentistry: Intravenous and Oral Conscious Sedation Training
- CEREC Training: Single-Visit Crown Design and Fabrication Training
- Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified
Community Service and Memberships
Dr. Workman delivers educational lectures at local elementary schools and is a part of Meals on Wheels. She’s an active member and volunteer at Grace Church and travels on mission trips to provide necessary dental care to indigenous people in Ecuador in the many villages surrounding the Andes mountains. Dr. Workman maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association and South Carolina Dental Association.
Wood Creek Dental is a family business, and Dr. Workman is the niece of our founding dentist, Dr. Dale Hunt. She is married to Dr. Marc Workman, who is also a practicing dentist in Greenville. Outside of the office, Dr. Workman enjoys spending time with her husband and their three wonderful and very active children, Luke, Sam, and Emma.
