How Does Invisalign® Work?

Using 3D imaging technology, we will demonstrate your entire treatment plan from the initial to desired position of your teeth. This imaging is used to design custom aligners for your smile.

You will wear each set of aligners for two weeks, then switch to your next pair. Treatment times vary by patient, but on average treatments last 9-15 months. You will visit our office about every six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing as anticipated.

What Will the Aligners Look Like?

Your Invisalign® aligners will be nearly invisible as you wear them. They are similar to clear tooth-whitening trays, but are custom-made to fit comfortably in your mouth.

Will Treatment Hurt?

Each new aligner may cause some temporary discomfort because it is pushing your teeth into proper alignment. This is perfectly normal and this feeling will subside as your teeth move into the new position.

Do the Aligners Affect Speech?

You may notice a short adjustment period when you begin wearing your aligners, but most people find that they have no noticeable changes in their speech.

Do I Need to Wear the Aligners All the Time?

Yes. You should wear your aligners throughout the day and as you sleep. The aligners are removable so that you can easily eat, brush and floss.

What Does Invisalign Cost?

We recognize that cost is always a concern for our patients. In general, Invisalign® costs about the same as ordinary metal braces and ranges from $3,000 to $5,000 and up depending on your specific needs.

Will My Insurance Cover Invisalign®?

Most insurance plans that cover orthodontic treatment will also cover Invisalign®.
