There are plenty of foods that we are aware of which can hurt our teeth. There are also several that may seem to be healthy, but in reality can be very harmful to the health of your teeth. Any foods that are too acidic may have negative effects on the enamel of your teeth, so it's best to avoid foods that are high in citric acid, like oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruit. Drinks that are dark and swirl around your teeth, like coffee, tea, red wine or soda, can slowly dye your tooth enamel. Additionally, anything that sticks to your teeth or in-between them can leave behind excessive amounts of sugar that can slowly cause decay.
